About
The Welcome Center Registration Team provides superior and efficient services to families and the school community, striving to process all student registrations in a consistent and timely manner, always keeping the student's best interest in mind.
If a language other than English (LOTE) is indicated on any one of the questions on the Home Language Information section of the LCPS student registration form, the school registrar submits a request to the Welcome Center. The Welcome Center will review the request and determine if an appointment at the Welcome Center is necessary.
If an appointment is necessary, the Welcome Center will contact the student’s family to schedule an appointment, or
If a student is transferring from a division within the WIDA (World-Class Instructional Design and Assessment) consortium, the Welcome Center will contact the student’s previous school of attendance and request their English Learners (EL) records. If able to obtain the records, the student may not need a Welcome Center appointment.
Enrollment to Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) generally begins at the student’s home school. To find a student's home school, use this Attendance Zone Look-Up Tool.
